I am a dedicated Mathematics educator with a strong foundation in both secondary mathematics and contemporary teaching methodologies. I specialise in helping students build confidence, depth of understanding, and genuine interest in Maths rather than simply memorising procedures. Over the years, I have successfully taught middle-school and secondary students, including Year 7-12 learners, and have experience supporting diverse learners such as EAL (English as an Additional Language), gifted learners, and students with learning differences like dyslexia.
My teaching approach is structured yet highly personalised. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, real-world explanations and guiding students step-by-step until they feel confident working independently. Whether a student is aiming to strengthen their fundamentals, excel in school assessments, or prepare for higher-level mathematics, I meet them where they are and support them to go further.
I plan my lessons using clear learning outcomes, scaffolded activities, and plenty of practice questions tailored to each student’s pace. I actively encourage growth mindset, problem-solving skills, and exam-oriented strategies, including efficient time management and error-analysis.
Topics I can support with include (but are not limited to):
• Algebra, Linear and Quadratic Equations
• Geometry & Measurement
• Statistics and Data Representation
• Number Systems & Arithmetic
• Financial Mathematics
• Functions and Graphs
• Trigonometry
• VCE General Mathematics content
Students who learn with me often say that I make mathematics “less scary”, “more logical”, and even “fun”, because I focus on understanding rather than pressure. My goal is not just to improve marks but to help students become confident thinkers who believe in their own ability to learn.
If you are looking for a tutor who is patient, organised, motivating, and committed to helping you achieve your academic goals, I would be happy to support your learning journey.
