“Love first, then teach.” My explanation is : You must love your subject and your pupils will perceive this. You must also love your pupils while commanding respect from them. Respect comes from a firm but quiet manner. One of my tutors once said, “ remember this ; in quietness and in confidence shall be my strength.” She was right. On the subject of discipline it`s important to know that “shouting impresses the weak and is a sign of weakness.” Teaching is all about capturing and holding the interest of an entire class of pupils,
