About Me
I am a student and practitioner of Indian Classical Vocal Music, trained in the Bishnupur Gharana, and a disciple of Pandit Sujit Gangopadhyay. My training is rooted in traditional riyaz, clarity of swaras, and disciplined voice culture.
I believe Indian classical music is a sadhana, not just a performance art. My teaching focuses on building strong fundamentals—sur, breath control, and raga understanding—so that students develop a stable and confident voice over time.
Teaching Approach
I teach in a structured yet patient manner, adapting lessons to the student’s level and goal. Classes include voice training, alankar and palta practice, raga-based learning, and guided riyaz methods. Emphasis is always on correctness, slow progress, and musical sensitivity rather than shortcuts.
Who Can Learn
I teach beginners to intermediate students, including adults and students from non-classical backgrounds. No prior knowledge is required—only sincerity and consistency.
Online Classes
Online lessons are calm, interactive, and well-structured, with clear guidance, practice routines, and regular feedback to ensure steady improvement.
If you are looking for authentic Bishnupur Gharana–based vocal training with strong fundamentals and personal guidance, I would be glad to teach you
