My teaching approach is student-centred, structured, and results-driven. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding before moving to problem-solving and exam-style questions. Lessons are carefully scaffolded, starting from foundational ideas and progressing to advanced applications, especially in Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s pace and learning needs, using clear explanations, step-by-step methods, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts accessible. I place strong emphasis on exam preparation, helping students develop accuracy, speed, and confidence through targeted practice, past questions, and effective revision strategies.

As a former Form Teacher, I value encouragement, consistency, and positive teacher-student relationships, which help learners stay motivated and confident. My experience as Secretary of the Mathematics Department has strengthened my organisation, lesson planning, and ability to track student progress effectively. Overall, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and steadily improve their performance.
