I am a qualified and experienced teacher with a strong background across Early Years and Primary education. I have worked extensively with children in EYFS, Key Stage 1, and lower Key Stage 2, supporting them in phonics, reading, writing, spelling, and maths. As a Phonics Lead, I specialise in the Read Write Inc. programme and have a deep understanding of how to build strong early reading foundations and support children in applying phonics confidently into their reading and writing.

My tutoring approach is assessment-led and highly personalised. I carefully identify each child’s strengths and gaps, then plan structured sessions that are engaging, supportive, and targeted to their individual needs. I have particular experience supporting children who may be working below age-related expectations, lack confidence, or require additional support, including children with SEND. This includes support with fine motor skills, attention and focus, language development, and building independence in learning.

I aim to create a calm, positive learning environment where children feel confident to take risks and enjoy learning. I work closely with parents, providing clear feedback and practical strategies to support learning at home. My goal is not only to improve academic outcomes, but also to build confidence, resilience, and a love of learning that supports children throughout their primary education.
