Hi, Im Shin Guan Xi, just call me as "Shin"
Im a passionate pianist who achieved ABRSM Grade 8 piano performance with distinction. Since then, I've spent the last 3 years (including now) self-studying virtuoso repertoire with various challenging techniques, such as Liszt's La Campanella, Transcendental etudes, Chopin Waterfall and Scriabin op8 no12 etc...
Why learn with me?
1. Since im a passionate pianist, I won't hold back while teaching. I'll teach everything i know in order to improve student's skills and musical depths.
2. Most students having trouble learning some challenging pieces, I'll offer tricks/methods to overcome those challenges easily (ghost left hand, various rhythm, grouping, etc...).
3. I don't just teach notes; I teach how to love the process of learning and feel the music's souls.
4. I'll offer at least one specific etude/repertoire that tackling student's weakness, to help build up student's future learning process faster.
5. I offer affordable monthly fees, perfect for families on a budget (Since other piano teachers offered approximately RM180-220 monthly fee for 30mins of Beginner/Grade 1 class, which was very expensive)
Fees per month (1 hour per class, 1 class per week):
Beginner/Grade 1- RM100
Grade 2- RM150
Grade 3- RM200
Grade 4- RM250
Grade 5-RM300
Grade 6- RM400
And most importantly, passion is your best teacher, passion is the main key that makes students improve within short amount of time.
