I have a relaxed but orderly teaching style, encouraging dialogue between the teacher and student. This allows teaching and learning to be a two way street and affords the learner the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the materials. In this way the learner can retain knowledge gained and the teacher can perceive when the student lacks understanding. This style also creates a welcoming and engaging learning environment as opposed to a rigid lecture where the teacher gives out information without context. Real life examples also form part of learning materials which help with retention. It is always important to tie back the theory from class to reality.
