Coming from a research background (CSIR- NIO) I look at science as the subject of wander. The current syllabus predicament may cause students to mug up biology, but biology is the baby of all sciences. It uses maths, physics and chemistry to understand how nature’s engineering (that’s living systems) work. And it’s fascinating.
As a teacher my aim is to develop interest in the subject. Marks automatically follow, although marks never judge a student’s potential.
I have been coaching NEET students since the inception of the exam and have been a firsthand witness to the changing landscape of the exam. More than just learning, it requires grit and determination. In this case, mentorship becomes crucial, which is a key component of my teaching methodology.
