I am passionate about teaching and engaging with my students in the pursuit of knowledge. I am open to utilizing different methods and approaches to ensure understanding.
My teaching style includes demonstrating then allowing my students to show if they understand by way of examples or scenarios. It also includes utilizing real world examples to show the parallel between theory and actual facts. I also encourage my students to role play - put themselves in the scenario for better understanding.
I have no problem sharing any PowerPoints with notes created so students can revise or complete assign more efficiently.
Over the many years as a teacher, my students have consistently done well at the CSEC and CAPE external exam levels with the passes ranging from 75 - 100% with grades 1-3 in the CSEC and 1-5 in CAPE.
I believe in being invested in my students as a teacher and sticking with them through the course so as to reach the finish line and have them achieve the grades expected.
