John Joana NdlovuEnglish, and IGCSE Chemistry

A learner centred instructor whose teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in both cognitivist principles as well as constructivist approaches. As a facilitator, my role is mainly to breakdown complex concepts into their simplest possible form for learners to understand but leaving room for them to build their own understanding through research. As a guide, my role is to lead learners in the right direction while allowing them to build their own understanding of the just explained concepts, by closely relating them to day to day life situations. Of course all these can only be possible by creating a conducive environment where learners are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them, which is exactly what my mission is; to turn "I don't get this" into "I've got it".
