As a trained Kathak dancer from the Lucknow Gharana, I have completed my Diploma Honours in Kathak from the National Institute of Kathak Kendra and have been teaching and performing for several years now.
I’ve had the privilege of training under respected gurus such as Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj, Raahat Khan, and Inderpal Singh Tomar, and performing at national-level events including the Republic Day Celebration 2020, where my performance received appreciation from the Honourable Prime Minister, Defence Minister, and President of India. I’m also a Doordarshan Grade “B” artist and have participated in prestigious festivals like Kathak Mahotsav and Vasantotsav.
Alongside performing, I’ve been teaching Kathak at Kala-Angan Academy and Rhythmic Ambience, where I strive to make every class a balance of discipline, joy, and creative expression. My goal as a teacher is to help students connect emotionally with the art while understanding its rhythm and tradition.
