I am a qualified Biology teacher with an Honours degree in Biological Sciences and experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Level learners in Namibia. I currently teach Cambridge Biology to Grades 8–11 and Chemistry to Grades 8–9, and I specialise in helping learners truly understand science instead of just memorising facts.
Many students struggle in Biology and Chemistry because the concepts feel abstract, confusing, or overwhelming. My teaching style is designed to change that. I break difficult ideas into simple, logical steps, using diagrams, everyday examples, exam-style questions, and guided practice so learners can see how everything connects. I focus strongly on understanding first, because once a learner understands, confidence and marks improve naturally.
I also help learners develop the skills that Cambridge exams require:
• interpreting data and graphs
• answering structured and long questions
• using correct scientific language
• explaining processes clearly
• avoiding common exam mistakes
My lessons are interactive and supportive. Students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and think for themselves. I do not rush through content, I make sure each learner is following before we move on. This is especially helpful for students who feel shy in class, who have fallen behind, or who feel that science is “too hard”.
Because I am an active classroom teacher, I understand exactly what Cambridge learners struggle with and what examiners expect. I use this knowledge to help students prepare for tests, exams, and assessments in a focused and organised way.
