I am a Tabla artist, educator, and accompanist whose musical journey spans several decades of dedicated practice and performance. Born in Kolkata and trained under the legendary Padma Bhushan Guru Jnan Prakash Ghosh, I represent a lineage of profound discipline, refined technique, and classical purity.
A graduate of the University of Calcutta, I have performed at prestigious music conferences across India, appeared in numerous Doordarshan programs, and had the rare honor of performing at the Parliament of India. My performance has been recognized by eminent national figures, including K.R. Narayanan and Najma Heptulla.
As a former Teacher and Tabla Accompanist at the West Bengal State Music Academy, I have played a vital role in shaping young musicians and promoting classical music education. I have also served as an external examiner for Rabindra Bharati University and conducted workshops across West Bengal, inspiring students with his depth of knowledge and musical sensitivity.
With a career rooted in tradition yet open to evolving expressions, I continue to captivate audiences and my student with clarity of rhythm, nuanced accompaniment, and unwavering devotion to the Tabla.
