Hi all, my name is Yusairah, and I am a dedicated, patient, and passionate tutor with experience in teaching Qaidah and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
I previously began a degree in Neuroscience, however I am now starting a degree in English Literature this year, where I aim to further strengthen my communication, writing, and interpretation abilities. Alongside my Islamic teaching, I also offer English tutoring up to GCSE level and enjoy helping students improve their confidence in reading, writing, and exam skills.
I have worked as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, where I supported students academically, emotionally, and socially. This role helped me develop strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to tailor lessons to different learning styles. I am passionate about creating a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment where every child feels confident and motivated.
Alongside my SEN experience, I have taught Qaidah in less formal settings and enjoy helping children learn correct pronunciation and build a love for their deen from a young age. I am committed to supporting each student’s individual journey and ensuring they progress at their own pace. I have also previously studied on the Aalimiyah course, which I have currently paused and plan to return to later this year to further my intermediate Islamic studies. This has strengthened my understanding of Islamic knowledge and my passion for sharing it with others.
I am reliable, caring, and eager to continue developing my teaching skills while serving the community. My aim is to help students grow both academically and personally with patience, sincerity, and dedication Insha'Allah
Experience
-
Teaching agency (Jan, 2026
–Present) at Axcis
-
SEN Teaching assistant (Jan, 2024
–Jan, 2024) at Ashcroft High School UK
In my role as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, I provided individual support to a child with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons. I supported their academic learning, communication, and emotional development by adapting tasks to suit their needs and learning style. I worked closely with teachers and other staff to implement individual education plans, monitor progress, and maintain a positive and safe learning environment. I also helped build the child’s confidence and independence through patience, encouragement, and consistent support.
