I am an architect and interior designer with over fifteen years of professional industry experience and five years of academic experience. My academic engagement includes mentoring students in architectural design and a range of interior design subjects, with a focus on integrating conceptual thinking, technical understanding, and practical application.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that creativity originates from within the individual and cannot be substituted by artificial intelligence. Accordingly, my pedagogy emphasises the development of independent design thinking, encouraging students to critically engage with ideas and rely on their own creative and analytical abilities rather than automated systems.
My design ideology is based on the understanding that design should evoke emotion and enrich human experience. Beyond considerations of functionality and aesthetics, I believe well-conceived design creates environments that resonate at a deeper experiential level. Each design project is approached as an opportunity to craft meaningful, context-responsive spaces that leave a lasting impact on those who inhabit or interact with them.
In addition to my core academic practice, I am available as a crochet instructor with a strong focus on craft-based learning. My approach emphasises hand skills, material sensitivity, and creative exploration through yarn. Crochet is introduced as an artistic and tactile process that supports mindful making and creative expression.
