My name is Hailendaariam Admasu, and I am a dedicated and experienced science educator with a strong academic foundation and a passion for teaching. I completed my high school education at Mehal Meda Secondary School, where I successfully sat for the Ethiopian Secondary School Leaving Examination in 2008. In the same year, I was admitted to Addis Ababa University, one of the most prestigious institutions in the country, where I pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computational Science with a concentration in Chemistry. I graduated in 2011, equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
In 2018, I continued to advance my professional qualifications by specializing in teaching at Debremarkos University. This program allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of pedagogy, curriculum design, and effective classroom management strategies. It also enhanced my ability to cater to students with diverse learning styles and academic backgrounds.
My professional journey in education began in 2012, when I joined Felegeyordanos Primary School as a laboratory technician. I served in this role until 2016, gaining valuable hands-on experience in preparing laboratory materials, supporting classroom experiments, and ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment for science students.
Since 2017, I have been working as a Chemistry and General Science teacher. Over the years, I have taught various grade levels and have continuously adapted my teaching methods to suit different age groups and learning needs. I use a variety of instructional strategies—such as interactive demonstrations, group discussions, visual aids, and problem-solving activities—to ensure that students remain engaged and understand the material thoroughly. I also make use of modern teaching tools and technologies where appropriate to enhance the learning experience.
My approach to teaching is student-centered, and I strongly believe in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere. I strive not only to deliver academic content but also to inspire critical thinking, curiosity, and a lifelong interest in science among my students. With over a decade of experience in the education sector, I am committed to continuous learning and professional development to become an even more effective educator.
