Part of teaching is all about curiosity and humility. Instilling a sense of curiosity to the students do the major work. No human knows it all - all the new concepts, all the new theories. But one will go a long way if they have the curiosity to learn, understand things that they don't understand and the humility to understand what they don't know. I would share that curiosity with my students', actively take time to learn them myself and share what I have learnt with much enthusiasm. I can think of no better way to teach by example.
