Hi, I'm Yesenia

I bring eight years of hands-on teaching experience, starting with five years as a full-time nanny, and more recently, four years teaching English, Italian, and cello. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and backgrounds, primarily at beginner and intermediate levels.

A significant part of my teaching philosophy has been shaped by my experience working closely with Italian educators in Montessori-inspired environments. Observing and collaborating in these settings taught me the importance of fostering independence, curiosity, and mutual respect in the learning process. This approach influences how I structure my lessons—centering the student's pace, interests, and goals to create a more meaningful and engaging experience.

What I enjoy most about teaching is co-creating a space where students feel seen and supported. I believe learning happens best when students are met exactly where they are. With that in mind, I prioritize personalized, flexible lessons that give structure for achievable learning goals and realistic time blocks. I find one-on-one and small group settings ideal for this kind of deep, focused learning, allowing us to build trust and make real progress together.

    US$60/hour (US$60/hour)

    For any reason, if half hour lessons are preferred, the rate would be $35.
