Hello! My name is Santiago Orozco Peña, I am a Technician in Accounting and Financial Operations and a Statistics student at the National University of Colombia.

For the past four years, I have been dedicated to teaching both online and in person, helping students understand topics that seem difficult at first. Over this time, I have learned that teaching is not just about delivering information, but about listening, guiding, and adapting explanations until the student truly understands.

I firmly believe there are no “silly” questions and no one incapable of learning—there are simply different ways to reach understanding. One phrase I disagree with is “a word to the wise is enough.” To me, if someone doesn’t understand, it’s the teacher’s duty to explain as many times and in as many ways as necessary until the student does.

I have had the opportunity to work with people of different abilities and learning styles, which has taught me patience, empathy, and flexibility in adapting my teaching methods.

My goal is to become a teacher not only by profession but by vocation, because I find deep satisfaction in seeing students go from confusion to clarity, from frustration to achievement. For me, teaching is a way to transform lives—starting with helping each student believe in themselves.
