My credentials include Bachelor’s of Elementary Education major in Special Education, I took Master’s unit in Clinical Psychology with thirty-three units, licensed professional teacher and over thirteen years of direct instructional experience. I taught in the Philippines for eight years and in North Carolina, USA for five years.
I have enjoyed and taught diverse groups of students with Down’s syndrome, Autism, ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, speech impairments and noncompliant behavior. My skills in differentiated instruction, assistive technology, individualized educational planning and multi-sensory planning allow me to meet the needs of every student. The experience taught me the value of patience, persistence and creativity in a special education classroom. I work closely with each student providing educational support and motivation they require to achieve their full potential. I make sure to communicate with family members and specialists involved, to encourage the success of each student, both in and outside the classroom.
