PERSONAL PROFILE:
Master Frederick Wisly Armah hails from Ghana where I obtained my professional teacher education. I am currently a doctoral student domiciled in Malaysia and humbly wish to bring my services to your doorstep.

As a professional teacher, my utmost aim is to inspire and empower learners in their personal growth and intellectual development as well enabling them to make positive impacts as good citizens.

Over the years, I have worked largely as an educationist and in various capacities as: a tutor (Basic 10 to 12), exam Coordinator, adjunct curriculum officer, ADR Practitioner (Mediator / Arbitrator), author of seven (7) learners’ textbooks, Deputy Headmaster, Headmaster and now at a top managerial level as Deputy Director of Education (Finance and Administration).

As a past Headmaster, I stand a very good chance to offer sound technical advice to under my span and authority and other stakeholders in areas such as:
• Day to day administration, strategic and operational leadership to the school community
• Ensuring that teachers and learners undertake learning in a conducive, safe and secure environment
• Ensuring availability of adequate resources for the promotion of effective teaching and learning
• Assigning duties and monitoring activities of both learners and teachers
• Administering discipline to staff and students
• Maintenance of infrastructure
• Good financial administration
It is my understanding that the essential job responsibilities of a Regional Education Advisor are as follow:
• Work with Regional Education Office to improve teaching and learning and adherence to the National Teachers’ Standards (NTS) across all Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS). This will include work to ensure that weekly Professional Learning Community (PLC) sessions are implemented as intended across all schools.
• Provided technical and financial support to these schools to develop and implement School Improvement Plans
• Represent the organization in public forums and meetings as directed by the Regional Education Team Leader and support in the production of written reports and updates as needed to fulfill obligations to partners
• Stakeholder management and relationship building within regions
Please take notice that I am IT savvy, an excellent communicator, team player, task – relational leader, trustworthy, honest, diligent, selfless, fast learner, and can work with little or no supervision. Do inform me if you need any additional information.

Counting on your good office and kind consideration.
Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
Frederick Wisly Armah (Mr.)

STATEMENTS OF EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
As a professional teacher, I have set certain goals for accomplishment and this personal growth plan is underpinned by my concepts of teaching and learning.
1.1 Concept of learning
• My conceptualisation of education is that, students are not a form of tabula – rasa into which teachers pour well – organised information.
• There are many learners with different learning abilities so emphasis should be on inclusive and differentiated learning strategies so that different learners can express learning in a way that works best for them.
• By nature, learning is an active endeavour and active learning takes place where students do more than simply listening to a lecture.
• Learners are basically what they read and eat. They ought to eat balanced diet and they will rust if they don’t read thoroughly.
• There is an increase in student’s retention rate and comprehension of what is taught when they actively partake in teaching and learning process. Active learning is highly recommended because learners are able to retain what is learnt as follows: 10% of what is read, 20% of what they hear, 30% of what they see, 50% of what they see and hear, 70% of what is say and write, 90% of they say and do.

2.1 Concept of Teaching
• Teaching actually occurs when impartation of knowledge brings about learning, such that the knowledge acquired can be applied to do what the learner could not to do before.
• Special education is a service and not a place and so persons with disability do better when put in mainstream classroom instead of been placed a self – contained classroom.
• Differentiation and scaffolding are highly recommended because they key instructional techniques that help to accommodate interest of different learners for them to have the best possible chance of learning, while learners are as well moved progressively towards stronger understanding and getting greater independence in the learning process respectively.
• Essential teaching skills required to deliver an interactive lesson, are: good communicative skills, planning and preparing a lesson through use of different assessment strategies, effective use of instructional time, classroom management and control, proper review and closure of lesson(s).
• Practical work and experiment make students learn science subjects better and learning becomes more effective when students are engaged in group work and constant practice.
• Language is taught well through effective communication
• Use of inquiry – based teaching and learning activities helps to develop learner’s core competency skills such as: critical thinking and problem – solving, creativity and innovation, communication and collaboration, cultural identity and global citizenship, personal development and leadership, and digital literacy skills.
