I am a FIDE Instructor with a rating of 2173 and over 13 years of competitive chess experience. I have won and placed in several international tournaments, including Karimganj FIDE Open (Assam), Teplice Open (Czech Republic), Montesilvano Open (Italy), and Bikaner International Open (Rajasthan). I have also played in numerous other international events and coached students across countries like Malaysia, Qatar, UAE, USA, Canada, Germany, and more. Chess is more than a game to me—it’s a way to think, learn, and have fun! I love working with students of all levels, helping them improve their skills through practical examples and personalized guidance.
My teaching approach is holistic, structured, and tailored to help players of all levels—from beginners to advanced competitors—maximize their potential in chess. I begin by carefully analyzing each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and unique playing style, which allows me to design lessons that address specific areas for improvement while reinforcing their natural strengths. I believe that chess is best learned through practice and examples, so I incorporate a wide range of illustrative positions, real-game scenarios, tactical exercises, and endgame studies in every session. This approach ensures that students not only understand strategies conceptually but also apply them effectively during actual games.
In addition to in-class instruction, I provide structured home practice materials to reinforce learning, encourage independent thinking, and help students gradually develop a deeper understanding of chess principles. I also organize full-day intensive chess camps at my academy, giving students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the game, play multiple guided matches, and receive detailed feedback on their performance. These camps are designed to sharpen tactical awareness, decision-making, and confidence under practical game conditions.
With over five years of coaching experience, I have trained students across multiple countries, including Malaysia, UAE, USA, Canada, and Germany. This international experience has helped me adapt my teaching to different learning styles, cultural perspectives, and skill levels, ensuring that each student feels supported and challenged appropriately. I emphasize clarity, patience, and structured progression, making even complex concepts approachable and understandable.
My methodology combines technical mastery with practical insights, helping students develop skills in openings, middle game strategies, tactical awareness, and endgame technique. I focus on creating a problem-solving mindset, teaching students to evaluate positions critically, anticipate opponent moves, and make confident, strategic decisions. By exposing students to a variety of positions and playing styles, I aim to cultivate versatile, adaptable, and strong-thinking chess players.
Ultimately, my goal is to not just improve ratings and win records, but to help students develop a lifelong appreciation for chess, enjoy the process of learning, and gain confidence both on and off the board. Every lesson is designed to be engaging, interactive, and rewarding, ensuring that students not only learn but also enjoy every step of their chess journey. Whether preparing for tournaments, improving competitive skills, or exploring chess as a passion, my approach is comprehensive, proven, and focused on tangible progress.
