I teach students from beginning to advance level, focusing upon concept building because without concept facts seems tedious to memorize. I sincerely focus upon adaptive learning, tailored approach to students according to their adaptability, aptitude.
In current affairs, many students face problem to memorize the data but in reality if you know the static portion, understand well then current affairs is just a cup of tea for example some news is related to India's recent developments in ASEAN countries, then you must understand what is ASEAN, how it has formed, India's strategic interest etc so if in future any news coming about ASEAN you will easily correlate with the topic and revise it without any efforts.
In Other General Studies subjects such as Geography, you first need to understand the concept building because without conceptual clarity, geography will be so tough to memorize, instead of rot learning focus upon concept building for example, we generally know India received most of the precipitation from South West Monsoon, but why from South West, why other components like Tamilnadu received winter rainfall not from South West Monsoon, if you understand the concept it will be very easy for you to mug up the facts and conceptual understanding.
