I’m Teacher Harvey, a passionate educator with a Master’s in Physics and Mathematics and over 3 years of teaching experience in Cambodia. I currently teach at Zhong Ying International School.

I specialize in Physics, Mathematics, and Science for Grades 1–10, as well as IGCSE, AS & A-Level students. I’m familiar with the Cambridge, Oxford, Australian, Canadian, and Singapore curricula.

"When I teach Math and Physics, my style is really focused on making sure the student gets the concept, not just memorizes the steps. I start by getting a clear picture of what they already know and where they struggle.

My methodology involves a few key steps: First, we break down complex problems into small, manageable pieces.

Second, I use real-world examples and analogies—especially in Physics—so the material feels relevant and less abstract.

Third, we practice extensively, using past exam questions and varying problem types until they feel totally confident. I believe in active learning, so I encourage questions and discussion constantly.

What makes me effective is that I don't just teach the subject; I teach how to learn it. I help students develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking, which benefits them way beyond the classroom.

I also pride myself on patience and adaptability, adjusting my pace and approach until the student truly masters the material. Seeing that 'lightbulb moment' when a concept clicks is what I love most about teaching.

    The price for my tutoring, which is usually somewhere between 80,000 KHR and 120,000 KHR an hour, changes depending on a couple of things. Honestly, it mostly comes down to how tough the subject is—I charge a bit more for really advanced stuff like prepping for A-Levels than for regular school help. Where I land in that range also depends on how much experience I have and if I need to drive out to your place for the lesson.
