‎I am Abdullahi Hussein, a final student of Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. A student member of Nigerian Institution of Engineers (SMNIMechE); member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Unilorin; and also a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Unilorin.
‎     As student and experienced tutor, my journey has been shaped by a strong interest in engineering mathematics, applied mechanics, thermo-fluids, and materials science, areas that continue to fuel my drive for excellence. I approach every task with discipline and commitment, ensuring that my work meets both academic and professional standards.

My teaching approach is centered on clarity, understanding, and confidence building. Many students do not actually find Engineering Mathematics or Mechanics impossible, they simply met it first in a confusing and overly theoretical way. I begin by correcting that. I introduce every topic from its physical meaning before formulas are written. Whether it is a vibrating system, bending beam, force system, or differential equation, I first explain what is happening in real life so the mathematics makes sense rather than appearing as symbols to memorize.

I make strong use of diagrams and guided reasoning. In courses like Applied Mechanics and Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, students often struggle because they cannot visualize motion, forces, or deformation. I train them to interpret the problem, predict the behavior of the body, and then carry out the calculation. This changes problem-solving from guessing to logical thinking.

I also teach a clear method students can follow independently: identify known and unknown quantities, select the governing principle, translate it into mathematics, solve carefully, and finally check if the answer is physically reasonable. My aim is not to solve questions for students but to show them how to approach any unfamiliar problem with confidence.

Another important part of my teaching is examination preparation. I guide students on proper solution steps, logical presentation, and secure high marks.
