Hello! My name is Josh and I'm a native English speaker, living near Cambridge in the United Kingdom. In addition to English, which is my native language, I also speak German and Spanish.
I've been working as an English, German and Spanish teacher since 2017, and I'm passionate about both language learning and teaching. Travelling is very important to me and I really enjoy visiting different places around the world, while meeting new people along the way.
Over the years, I've been able to learn about many cultures and I feel that I've benefitted from this, because it's helped me to become a more considerate and open-minded person. In my opinion, this is a great strength when teaching English, German and Spanish as second languages.
To help you build confidence and improve your proficiency, our focus will be on improving your language skills through natural conversation. Additionally, we can use news articles, stories, other texts and videos to support your learning. When necessary, though, we can focus on grammar in a practical way, without getting too caught up in theory.
As for my teaching style, I'll ensure that you feel relaxed by being encouraging. I'll also focus on helping you to correct your mistakes and speak your target language in a way that's similar to a native speaker, which will improve the quality of your communication! Rest assured that you have no need to be afraid of making mistakes because this will help you to improve more quickly.
