I use both Tamil and English based on the student’s comfort so that they can learn without fear. My classes are interactive, and students are encouraged to ask questions freely. I relate Chemistry concepts to real-life examples, which helps students remember the content for a long time and develop genuine interest in the subject.My teaching methodology follows a structured and exam-focused approach. Each chapter is taught in a step-by-step manner with clear explanations, important formulas, flowcharts, and short notes for quick revision. After every session, students are given practice questions and assignments to improve their problem-solving skills. Weekly tests are conducted to evaluate their understanding, and individual performance analysis is provided to help them identify their strengths and areas for improvement. Previous year question papers are discussed to make students familiar with the exam pattern and to improve their time management. Special attention is given to numericals, equations, and Organic Chemistry mechanisms, which many students find difficult.
The result of this method is a strong conceptual understanding and visible improvement in students’ academic performance. Students gain confidence in answering both theory and numerical questions, and their speed and accuracy in exams increase. Many students who initially found Chemistry difficult start scoring high marks and develop a positive attitude towards the subject. The syllabus is completed on time with multiple revisions, ensuring that students are fully prepared for their board exams and competitive tests.
