Iann Mathematics and Computer Science.

I am a university student pursuing Mathematics and Computer Science, with a focus on Applied Mathematics. My academic background allows me to work comfortably with advanced calculus, statistics, and logical problem-solving, which I simplify for high school (IGCSE/KCSE) and early university students.

My Methodology

I begin by identifying gaps in understanding by assessing the learner’s current level before starting a topic. From there, I rebuild concepts step by step from the foundation. I prioritize clarity before speed. Once a topic is well understood, we move to guided practice and eventually independent problem-solving. I consistently integrate past-paper questions to ensure students are well prepared for exams.

My Teaching Style

Patient, structured, and interactive. I encourage students to actively think through problems rather than passively observe solutions. I break down complex topics such as Functions, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Calculus into manageable parts, explaining the reasoning behind each step instead of relying on memorization.

Results

Students typically gain improved confidence, stronger problem-solving skills, and better exam performance. My focus is not only on short-term grades, but on long-term understanding and independence.

What Makes Me an Effective Teacher
Because I actively study and apply mathematics and programming concepts daily, I understand both the theory and how it translates into practical problem-solving. I communicate concepts clearly, relate well to students, and adjust my pace to suit individual learning needs.

Fee details

    KSh500800/hour (US$3.866.18/hour)

My rate varies based on the academic level and distance. I charge KSh 500/hour for high school and IGCSE mathematics (such as Grade 10 Geometry). For advanced university-level modules (Calculus, Applied Mathematics, and Computer Science), the rate ranges from KSh 800 to 1,000/hour. For in-person home tutoring, minor adjustments may be made to cover travel depending on the location.
