Hijiet Rafiq is a scholar of English Literature and an educator passionate about language, literature, and critical thought. She completed her Honors in English Literature from Amity University with a minor in Psychology, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in English Literature at Jamia Millia Islamia.
She has experience teaching spoken English, grammar, academic writing, and literary analysis, helping students build both linguistic confidence and analytical skills. Her teaching approach focuses on interactive learning, critical thinking, and strengthening students’ communication abilities.

Hijiet is also an author and researcher whose academic work explores literature, identity, and psychology. Her research on female identity and gender dynamics in Habba Khatoon’s poetry was published in the Research Journal of English Language and Literature. She has also published works on reimagining classical literature, resilience among Kashmiri people, and the psychological effects of conflict, including contributions to the Jamia Review.

Alongside her academic pursuits, she has actively worked with NGOs and youth initiatives, contributing to social welfare, education, and community outreach programs. She is also the author of the poetry anthology The Midnight Rains and has co-authored several books.

Fluent in English, Urdu, and Kashmiri, with elementary knowledge of Arabic and beginner-level Mandarin, Hijiet combines literary insight with psychological understanding to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for her students.
