Hi, I am a retired university professor with qualifications B.Eng (Hons), MTech, PhD with 150 international publications, books and patents. I graduated form IIT madras and worked both at India and outside India for 40 over years. I always provide an environment for learning that encourages students to be problem-solvers, decision-makers and competent professionals. I frequently draw my industrial experience to bring the industry situations to the classroom and emphasize the need to attach business importance. I sincerely believe that assessment of assignments, class tests and examination should truly reflect the student’s performance and hence I spent several hours to prepare rubric and fine tune the same continuously. on the whole, my experience suggests that there is no single magic wand to address all the classroom related issues and hence continuous reinvention has become mandatory with incorporation of new age tools and techniques from time to time.
