Dr. Ar. Bindu Agarwal

Dr. Ar. Bindu Agarwal is a qualified architect, academician, researcher, author, and mentor with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and professional practice. Born and brought up in Chandigarh, she completed her Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) in 2000, Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) in 2012, and earned her Ph.D. in Architecture in 2020.

After gaining valuable experience in the fields of Architecture and Interior Design, she began her academic career as a Visiting Faculty member in the Department of Architecture and Planning at DIT University and Himgiri Zee University in 2008. In 2013, she joined Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, where she has served in various academic positions and contributed significantly to architectural education and academic development.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Agarwal has taught and mentored students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her areas of expertise include Architectural Design, History of Architecture, Theory of Architecture, Building Construction, Building Materials, Estimation & Costing, and Disaster Management.

She has successfully guided more than 50 B.Arch. thesis projects and authored over 23 research papers published in reputed peer-reviewed journals. She has also participated in inspections and academic approval processes for architectural institutions and has actively contributed to curriculum development, academic planning, timetable management, and various university committees.

Dr. Agarwal is also an accomplished author. Her book, published by Germany-based DOM Publishers, contains 288 pages and over 500 images, reflecting her dedication to architectural education, documentation, and research.

Beyond architecture and higher education, teaching has always been her passion. Since childhood, she has enjoyed helping students learn and excel academically. Even during her free time, she has devoted herself to teaching and mentoring children of different age groups.

She particularly enjoys teaching Mathematics, Art, History, English, Science, and other school subjects. She takes special interest in helping students with holiday homework, school assignments, projects, examinations, and skill development activities. Her patient and encouraging teaching style helps students build confidence, improve academic performance, and develop a genuine interest in learning.

With more than 25 years of teaching experience, Dr. Agarwal has the capability to guide and mentor learners from Kindergarten (KG) to Ph.D. level. She strongly believes that quality education should be accessible to every child and is committed to supporting students from all backgrounds, including economically disadvantaged families.

Reading, writing, teaching, and mentoring continue to be her greatest interests. She finds immense satisfaction in helping students achieve their academic goals and discover their full potential.
