To be an effective math teacher, I focus on helping my students "discover" concepts rather than just lecturing. I start by connecting topics to real-life examples or visuals, then move to diagrams, and finally introduce the formulas. I always use the "I do, We do, You do" method: I demonstrate the process, we solve problems together, and then I give my students space to practice on their own. I encourage them to explain their logic instead of just finding the answer. Most importantly, I treat mistakes as learning opportunities, which helps build their confidence and makes math much more enjoyable for them.
