Vineet – Mathematics & Physics Educator | B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science

My name is Vineet, and I am currently in the final year of my B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science from Delhi University, with graduation expected in 2026. Alongside my academic journey, I have built a strong foundation in Mathematics and Physics, not only as a student but also as an educator.

I began teaching in September 2021, immediately after completing Class 12. Over the past five years, I have taught and mentored approximately 100–150 students, primarily from CBSE Classes 11 and 12. Throughout this journey, my focus has remained consistent: helping students develop genuine conceptual understanding rather than relying solely on memorization and procedural learning.

Around one and a half years ago, I took a significant step forward in my professional journey by co-founding Excel Classroom, an educational institute dedicated to Mathematics and Physics education. As a founding partner and faculty member, I actively contribute to curriculum planning, academic strategy, student mentoring, and classroom instruction. Building an institute from the ground up has allowed me to expand my role beyond teaching and develop valuable leadership and organizational skills.

What makes my journey unique is my own relationship with Mathematics. Until Grade 6, I struggled considerably with the subject. I often found it difficult, frustrating, and disconnected from my way of thinking. However, my perspective changed when I encountered a teacher who emphasized understanding rather than memorization. Instead of presenting formulas as facts to be remembered, he focused on explaining their origins, derivations, and underlying logic.

Over time, this approach transformed my understanding. By Grade 9, I began viewing Mathematics not as a collection of rules but as a coherent system of patterns, logic, and problem-solving. This shift sparked a deep curiosity that continues to guide my learning and teaching philosophy today.

Unlike many students of my generation, I developed my understanding of Mathematics and Physics primarily through books rather than video lectures. I cultivated the habit of carefully studying each concept, paragraph, and derivation, seeking to understand the reasoning behind every idea. This disciplined approach strengthened my analytical thinking, encouraged independent learning, and instilled a lasting appreciation for self-study.

My fascination with Mathematics naturally extended into Physics. I became increasingly interested in how mathematical structures can describe physical reality, allowing abstract concepts to explain observable phenomena. This intersection between logic and nature remains one of the most compelling aspects of education for me.

Today, I bring these experiences into every classroom. My teaching philosophy is centered on conceptual clarity, logical reasoning, and intellectual curiosity. I encourage students to ask questions, explore derivations, identify patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of the subjects they study. Rather than focusing exclusively on examination performance, I strive to help students become independent thinkers who can approach problems with confidence and clarity.

I also strongly advocate for the value of reading and self-study. By encouraging students to engage directly with textbooks and academic material, I aim to help them develop the skills necessary for lifelong learning and intellectual growth.

As I continue expanding Axle Classroom and complete my undergraduate studies, I remain committed to contributing meaningfully to the field of education. With several years of teaching experience, strong conceptual foundations in Mathematics and Physics, and a passion for student development, I seek opportunities where I can make a lasting academic impact while continuing to grow as an educator and mentor.
