I am a masterful teacher of History and Geography, born of long experience, passion in the subject content, underpinned by wide and deep reading. I encourage interaction with students, particularly with thought provoking questions designed to prod discussions and debates. I endevour to provoke enquiry and research in my students as I believe that is the most effective way of learning.I am a believer and practioner of thorough preparation for lesson. I have had a record of guiding students to high attainement at both IGCSE and A-Level. On more than one occassion, my students have registered 100% pass rate. My students often report that I have been a positive influence on them, and that my methods have throughly instilled academic rigour why also promoting freedom and enquiry. Students have also reported that my ability to connect the past to the present have motivated them to research the past further.
