If you’ve ever felt like you’re just doing steps and not truly experiencing the dance, my classes are for you.

Hi, I’m Anjali, a Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher based in Chennai, with over 6 years of teaching experience. I have been a performer for over 20 years, training under Smt. Anitha Guha at Bharathanjali.

My classes focus on building a strong foundation in adavus, alignment, and rhythm, while also introducing abhinaya in a way that feels natural and accessible. I work closely with each student to help them move beyond just learning steps, towards becoming more aware, confident, and expressive dancers.

I also place importance on body awareness through structured warm-up and cool-down practices, ensuring ease and strength in movement. Sessions are personalised to suit each student’s pace, creating a supportive space, especially for those who feel shy or stuck in their dance.

I teach beginners and intermediate students through one-on-one and small group sessions, and also prepare interested students for performances.

Online classes are available across time zones.
