I am a Structural Engineer with an A-Level PCF background, and I prefer a one-on-one home tutoring environment where I can act as a brother and a mentor. Over years of personal teaching experience, I have found that the standard one-hour daily study is less effective than a deeper, more focused 2 hour study on alternate days. So, I prefer teaching two-hour sessions three times a week with a day’s break in between, which maintains the necessary six hours of weekly study while allowing the material to actually sink in.
Every session follows a strict, effective structure designed for long-term retention. I dedicate the first 15 minutes to a thorough revision of the previous class to ensure we are building on a solid foundation, and the final 15 minutes are reserved for brainstorming and mentorship. This leaves 1.5 hours of high-intensity, full-course instruction. By dedicating that extra half-hour to revision and "extra-course" activity, I ensure the student isn't just memorizing facts but is learning how to think. While I am open to teaching online if the student is willing, I strongly prefer occasional physical classes to maintain the personal rapport and guidance that defines my teaching style.
