When I was a teenager at school myself, my friends used to ask me for help with their Mathematics. I really loved being able to help my friends complete their maths. This remains my favourite thing about teaching to this day; seeing that moment when a student truly understands a concept and feels the joy of learning and understanding.
I take pride in being able to explain things in different ways until I see that moment in the student where I know that they truly understand.

Experience

  • Mathematics teacher (Jan, 2020–Dec, 2025) at O'Connor Catholic College
    Teach mathematics to all ages from Year 7 to Year 12.
    I also ran an after school Mathematics club once a week to provide extra help for any of those students who wished to remain behind after school.

  • Cert IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) (Apr, 2019–Sep, 2019) from Australian Pacific College A.P.C.
  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with concurrent Mathematics teacher education (Aug, 2008–Jun, 2012) from University of Limerick, Ireland

Fee details

    AU$30–45/hour (US$21.58–32.37/hour)

    all ages groups up to and including Year 9 - $30 per hour
    Year 10 - $40 per hour
    Year 11 & 12 - $45 per hour
