I teach A-level mathematics and undergraduate mathematics.
I don't have much experience, but I use different approaches to help the student overcome difficulties with the subject.
I explain examples and do questions for the student so he can understand, starting with the easiest first, then consequently to the hardest on every session. Listen to the student if he/she has problems with certain topics. Plus, detect if he/she is facing solving a maths problem.Therefore, I concentrate on his/her weakness and give exercises. Last but not least, i will recommend the student to look for different sources (books, or internet) related to the problem.
