A focused, hands‑on four‑day workshop that equips participants with the skills to design, write, and present competitive proposals for donors, private funders, and internal business projects. Through short lectures, guided templates, real‑time drafting, peer review, and facilitator feedback, participants will leave with a complete, fundable concept note or full proposal draft, plus the tools to adapt it for different funders.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the training participants will be able to:
a. Define a clear problem statement and measurable objectives.
b. Design a logical results framework and realistic workplan with milestones.
c. Develop a budget narrative and simple budget template aligned to activities.
d. Write persuasive needs, methodology, and sustainability sections tailored to funder priorities.
e. Prepare a concise executive summary and a funder‑ready concept note.
f. Use a set of reusable templates and a checklist for final submission.
Daily programme (high‑level)
Day 1 — Foundations: Understanding funder logic; problem analysis; stakeholder mapping; crafting objectives.
Day 2 — Design: Theory of change / results framework; activity planning; monitoring & indicators.
Day 3 — Budget & Risk: Budget structure and narrative; cost allocation; risk analysis and mitigation.
Day 4 — Writing & Pitching: Executive summary, proposal polishing, peer review, presentation skills, submission checklist.
Training methods & materials
Short instructor inputs, worked examples, live drafting sessions, peer review, and facilitator feedback.
Included materials: editable proposal templates (Word/Excel), sample budgets, results framework template, submission checklist, and a one‑page post‑training action plan.
Assessment
Practical assessment: each participant submits a concept note or proposal draft during the course.
Logistics, payment & terms
Payment: 50% deposit required to confirm booking; balance due before Day 1.
Cancellation:
Full refund if cancelled 14+ days before start; 50% refund if cancelled 7–13 days before; no refund within 7 days. Substitutions allowed.
Extras: Travel, venue hire, and printed materials billed separately if requested.
