I am a Lead Laboratory Scientist and Biotechnology expert with a Bachelor of Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). With over 5 years of professional experience in molecular diagnostics and biotechnology research, I bring real-world scientific application into the virtual classroom.
Teaching Style & Methodology
My teaching methodology is inquiry-based and highly structured. I focus on "First Principles," ensuring students understand the fundamental 'why' behind complex biological and chemical processes before moving to advanced topics. For undergraduate and high school students (KCSE/IGCSE), I use digital whiteboards to break down metabolic pathways, reaction mechanisms, and molecular structures into digestible, logical steps.
What Makes Me a Great Teacher
Having worked at the forefront of laboratory science, I don't just teach from a textbook; I provide context. I help students master lab report writing, data analysis, and exam techniques that I have used in professional diagnostic settings. This bridge between theory and practice significantly boosts student engagement and retention.
Results
I have successfully guided numerous students through challenging undergraduate units in Microbiology and Biochemistry, as well as helping candidates achieve top grades in their final secondary exams. My goal is to foster a scientific mindset that leads to both immediate academic success and long-term professional confidence.
