I am Dr. Debmalya Banerjee, holding a Ph.D. and M.E. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and a B.E. from Bengal Engineering and Science University. With over two decades of experience in Power Electronics and Electric Motor Drives, I bring deep expertise in control of electric machines, power converter design, and renewable energy systems.
My career spans globally recognized institutions and industries — including the University of Windsor (Canada), Rolls-Royce, Collins Aerospace, Alstom Grid (UK), and Honeywell Aerospace — where I led research in inverter design, sensor-less motor control, multilevel converters, and EV drivetrain systems. I hold two granted US patents, along with publications in IEEE and IET journals.
As a former Assistant Professor, I have taught Control of Electric Drives and Special Machine Control to undergraduate students and developed Power Electronics laboratory modules. I have also mentored Masters and Doctoral researchers extensively.
I am passionate about teaching Electrical and Electronics Engineering subjects and coaching students for the GATE examination, drawing from my strong academic foundation at IISc, hands-on industrial expertise, and years of research mentorship. My goal is to make complex concepts in Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, and Control Systems accessible and exam-focused for aspiring engineers.
