I teach from the basic Sarali varisai, Janta varisai, Mel sthayi varisiai, Dhatu varisai, Alankaram, Geetham, Swarajathi, Varnam
Krithis, Pancha Rathnas, Thyagaraja Krithis, Syama Sastri Krithis, Dheekshithar Krithis,
Mysore Vasudevacharya Krithis, Annamacharya Krithis, Purandhara Dasar Krithis
Thirupugazh, Thevaram, Kavadichindhu, Ashtakam, Hanuman Chalisa, slokam etc.,
Ragas and Thalas will be explained along with each lesson.

🔶 I have a very unique style of expressing swaras, which shows the true life of the swara sthanas.
🔶 Along with the practicals, theory-based classes will be additionally taken to provide in-depth knowledge about carnatic music.
🔶 I also teach the typical way of gamaka pradhana sangeetham, I usually follow my own curriculum. I prefer to teach you gamaka techniques which are said to be the life of carnatic music!
🔶 Veena classes will be taken by my parents who have 30+ years experience as teachers as well as performing artists.

About myself,
🔶 I have been performing for the last 20 years in various musical concerts, programs, and festivals.
🔶 I grew up in a musical family. My father, Kalaimamani Karukkurichi Shri A.Ravi Narayanan and my mother Isai Kalaimani N. Shyamala are professional veena artists.
🔶 I have completed Higher Grade in Music with Distinction from Annamalai University.
🔶 I started my music journey at the age of 4 through my grandfather late Karukurichi S. Adhinarayanan, from whom I learned Carnatic Saastriya Sangeetham. I continued the learning journey under the guidance of my father and also from my uncle Karukurichi A Balaji. My grandfather, father and few of my uncles are all well renowned A.I.R grade artists.

As a singer,

🔶 Performed on TV channels like SANKARA and TTD.

Highly effective Teaching

This is Deepak from Utah, USA. My two kids started learning from Shruthilaya madam in last July and still learning. My kids when started were not much interested now they don't speak about skipping classes. I see pretty good improvement in my kids singing. Truly appreciate her effective teaching.

Good teacher

I learn music from her for the last two months. She is very methodical and systematic. She has enough patience to teach all nuances in music. I am quite comfortable in learning from her. She makes sure you learn the fundamentals strongly to build a foundation for the future.

Resourceful and has in-depth music knowledge

Best Teacher

As soon as I posted my requirement I received the first response from her. She communicated in a friendly and encouraging way. We liked the way of her approach and joined her Carnatic Vocal class. She is an expert in her field. Classes are conducted in the time suits to both of us. She is very punctual and start the class exactly in the specified time. She is also a perfectionist and she loves to correct her students to grasp the correct note. She also welcomes our doubts and proceeds to next lesson only if we grasp the previous lessons. She used send recordings of lesson for our regular practice which are very useful. My wife and I are learning Carnatic vocal now. We are very happy to have her as our Carnatic Music guru.
