Gurudutt is a professional Hindustani Vocal musician & a Carnatic Flutist.

He is a disciple of Padma Bhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty,Kolkata.

He has been conferred Sanadi Appanna National award 2019, Raagashree Yuva Puraskar 2019 etc

His training process is unique which includes "Voice Culture, Voice Modulation, Vocal Training, Pitch Perfection and many more other techniques with detailed study of Raagas and Tala." which gives a student his/her own musical vision. I feel it is very important to develop a musical vision to become a successful musician or a passionate singer.

Born in a traditional family of great Sanskrit scholars and musicians revered by the kings of Mysore,
He belongs to a lineage of Great Grand Father Prof. C T Srinivasa Murthy who was the Court musician in the King's palace of Mysore.

He was initiated to Carnatic music at a tender age of 4 in the "Guru-Shishya parampara" by his mother Smt. C N Annapurna. He went on to learn Flute under his uncle Vidhwan A K Viswanatha who is one of the greatest flautists, poet and composer of current times. In 2013, Guru Dutt became part of the lineage of stalwarts like Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and Padma Bhushan Deshikottam Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh when he came under the tutelage of Sangeet Samrat Padma Bhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. This was absolutely a life-defining decision of his life.

Despite completing an MBA and having a handsome salary while working at Dubai, he left his career for the love and his passion towards Indian classical music. He completely submitted himself to the "Guru-Shishya parampara" under the pupilage of Pandit Shri Ajoy Chakraborty at the holy cultural seat of Kolkata. Since then, he has been practising rigorously for 12-15 hours every day for about 7 years by now. As a result, his concerts have started to amass huge following lately. In my opinion he would certainly be a global sensation within a decade.

The reason I say this is because of his unique brilliance in his style of music. His music is characterized by the delicate handling of Swaras which move listeners to tears, lilting Layakari and rousing Taans. His versatility in presenting Khayal, Thumri, Marathi Abhang, Kannada Dasara Pada, Hindi songs of Tulsidas and Bengali Rabindra Sangeet - with equal case - takes us all on a mellow spiritual journey.

In his 27 years of musical journey, he has performed across the country and the world.
During this period, some of his notable achievements include : Sanaadi Appanna award 2019, "Mr. Virtuoso" and "Mr. Voice" by Carnatica, a Gold Medal by KLE group of institutions for the best performance in Carnatic flute music and "Ragashree Yuva Puraskar 2019" from Rajashree School of Music conferred by Pandit Venkatesh Kumar. He is also a graded artist at the All India Radio, Bangalore.

Hindustani Music Lessons

I have been learning with Gurudutt Sir for a little over a month. He is very slow and methodical and gives a great intro this style of music, which really interests me. He started from the very basics building up my foundations, teaching me not only about music practically but also including theory sur and most importantly lay. I have only just started on this journey with Sir, and I'm really enjoying this flavour of music! I hope to learn much more songs and dive deeper into this ocean of an art!

I wish I had 100 stars here

Gurudatta sir is an excellent guru. He understands student's requirements, their strength and weakness and creates individual learning path. He develops friendly relation with students and that makes learning so much easy and fun at the same time. I cannot thank him enough for choosing my son as his disciple and making him fall in love with music. We do not have any musical background but Gurudatta sir played very important role in developing the interest for music. Thank you so much Guruji! you are a great teacher and an awesome human being. We feel so fortunate to know you and learn from you.

Highly recommend

Guruduttji has been teaching my 6 year old for a few months now and I am very happy with the progress he is making. My daughter also has started learning under him recently. Both of them look forward to the class and it is so motivating and refreshing that the whole family doesn't miss out!

He comes from a musical background and is being trained by none other than the great Pt Ajoy ji himself. Given his carnatic music knowledge it is easier for us to make the connection between the hindustani style and carnatic style. He always responds quickly and is willing to discuss the child's progress with us in detail.

Highly recommend him if you are looking for an exciting musical journey for yourself or your children.

Very Good Hindustani Vocals teacher

My 9 year old daughter has been learning from Guruduttji from quite sometime now, we are very happy with the way she is progressing.
Guruduttji is very kind and patient with children. His passion for music can easily be seen in his teachings.
He never rushes kids and always puts child's learning first, as a teacher.
