The teaching of vocal music will be based on demonstrations. The basics of Indian notes and ragas will be taught. Simultaneously the techniques of good vocalism needed to become a successful singer will be taught.
After learning the basics, the ragas will be introduced one by one.
The raga structure will be explained with demonstration. One or more compositions will be taught along with the support of Tanpura and Tabla both.
Raga based light music will be taught occasionally but thd focus will be given to learning basic techniques of Indian music.

Amazing guru with profound knowledge and great teaching skills

When I wanted to learn Indian classical music online, I wasn't sure how to choose a guru. Thanks to this website, I found Priyadarshini ma'am. After our demo class, I immediately knew I couldn't ask for a better teacher to begin my journey into music. She has a vast knowledge with more than two decades of experience in Hindustani music. She is very humble, motivating, and is always approachable to students via online platform. Also, she encourages students to always keep trying irrespective of the result which gives any amateur singer the confidence to pursue the music without much self-doubt. Even though the classes are one-on-one, we have an online group to keep us connected and feel the belongingness to the musical community. Priyadarshini ma'am and students share various useful resources with everyone in the group to help everyone get better at singing. I personally recommend her to students of all learning levels/requirements.

Priyadarshani ma’am is truly one of the best guru’s you can find for Indian classical music. Her classes and professional and structured. Her teaching methods are flexible and she is highly passionate about music. Getting in touch and learning from her is one of the best decisions I could have made. :)
