I am a second year doctoral candidate in Linguistics from IIT Madras and I am also a teaching assistant in the department of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Madras. One of the roles of a teaching assistant is to substitute for the professor when he/she is busy. I have done that several times and have received good feedback since teaching is my passion. I have completed my Master's in Linguistics from University of Hyderabad and secured the gold medal. During that time, I cracked NET, a competitive exam for Humanities and Social Sciences, securing the Junior Research Fellowship. I have done my Bachelor's in English Literature and used to give private tuition at the same time.

I have impeccable communication skills and Indian English is one of my native tongues.

Many people find learning grammar boring. My aim is to make it interesting and fun. You tend to grasp better when the concept appeals to you and is fun to learn. My focus will be on both spoken and written skills, enhancing your vocabulary and eventually making you fall in love with English or Linguistics!

I believe in two-way learning. I expect to learn from you as much as you will learn from me. I believe in hard work and that is something I expect from you too.

Very helpful and engaging

We had been searching for a good English language tutor for our son who is in Class VII in CBSE Board and was referred to Schere by some contact. We found her as very supportive, knowledgeable and she knows how to engage her student in the best manner.
