As a self-represented performer from Montreal, Laura holds an Honours Bachelor in Performing Arts from the Sligo Institute of Technology in Ireland and an advanced diploma in Music Theatre - Performance.
Laura is a trained pianist and vocalist with a passion for storytelling. As a theatre artist, Laura has performed across Canada and internationally. She played Mary Sunshine in Pop-Up Theatre’s production of Chicago in Sligo and was set to reprise the role with Montreal’s Contact Theatre, in April 2020. Other roles include The Singer in Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle and Duke Orsino in an all female production of Twelfth Night. Laura had the opportunity, as one of twenty-five performers, to workshop and perform a new canadian musical, The Dreamcatchers, as part of the 2017 Charlottetown Young Company.
Laura worked with the international cultural organization Gruppo Jobel on a theatre pilot project exploring environmental themes at Le Collège Sainte-Marcelline, with a showcase scheduled for the Spring of 2020. In the summer of 2020 Laura was hired by l’Ensemble Vocal - Arts Québec to perform in their Mini-Concert Santé series for underprivileged neighbourhoods, a series which won the Prix Opus for Musical Event of the Year.
Laura has been a member of the Saint-Anne Singers a cappella choir since 2019 and runs her own private voice coaching studio.
