I have been teaching London O/L Biology, London A/L Biology, Local A/L English medium Biology and Local A/L Sinhala medium Biology for the last nearly 40 years.
I have different ways in which I approach the student by his/her state of intelligence and phycological status.
I use simple and clear explanations on theories and do past papers and model papers along with each chapter. I develop a strong theoretical base among my students and then move on to problems, which is equally important to establish the learned knowledge. Also I use laboratory practicals(I have my own laboratory at home) to give much needed hands-on experience for my students.
Right throughout my teaching career none of the students either in Sri Lanka or abroad has failed Biology. My students are in responsible positions in Sri Lanka and elsewhere.
By delivering updated subject matter and also by emphasizing on new theories and techniques in Biology, I allow the student to broaden his/her vision.
By using the mentioned methods combined with a strong will from the student, I ensure to deliver a fully-fledged Biology student ready for any endeavor in the field in Biology.
