As an English teacher I make use of direct instruction, collaborative learning and jigsaw strategy to deliver my lessons. For distance learners Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools such as pre-recorded videos and audios, virtual meetings as well as other social media platforms will be made use of. The use of virtual meetings will play a role in connecting students from different parts of thd world acquiring the same language. Thus, the learner will not be confined to the knowledge being passed from me alone but also from different parts of the world.
A collaborative and effective use of these styles and methods of teaching produces sound results. Not only will the students be equipped with English language and Literature in English skills but also technological skills essential in the professional world. The various methods and styles of teaching to be employed will also enhance the learner's critical thinking skills. Due to these reasons, I believe I am suitable candidate to deliver English language and Literature in English tutorials.
