My teaching style is flexible based on my student because I appreciate that different student have a different styles of learning. I enjoy using online resources to help engage my student in the application of the content we are learning. I also prepare practice tests for my students to help them gain confidence in the knowledge they have acquired through our sessions. I ask my students whether they have any questions about the content they were taught in school that I could help them with. I can understand that learning is not just about memorization, it is about understanding and developing confidence in the knowledge they are receiving. I provide lots of practice worksheets for my students to ensure they are thorough with concepts. I also enjoy engaging my students in watching educational youtube videos or online games. This makes the learning experience fun and memorable for the student and also teaches them to use the online platform as a purposeful and meaningful learning resource. I find that my students learn best when they are able to express what they are struggling with and where their current level of confidence with the content lies. This helps me plan my lesson to facilitate learning in those areas of need and also allows my students to address any rising confusion or concerns about the topics beforehand. Overall, I enjoy the process of teaching and learning because it is not just a delivery of information, it is to be able to relate and apply that information for a greater purpose.
