I, Dr. Aabid Hussain, at present, I have completed my Ph.D. in Science with a specialization in immunology, infectious diseases, and molecular biology under the supervision of Dr. Chiranjib Pal (Professor), Cellular Immunology & Experimental Therapeutics Laboratory, Department of Zoology, West Bengal State University, Barasat, West Bengal, India. I have worked during my Ph.D. on immunology, adjuvant/vaccine/drug development against visceral leishmaniasis (Kala-azar), and Stem cells for the last 6 years and successfully published my research work in international journals and was also assigned as an ad-hoc reviewer for the journal of Phytotherapy Research (Publisher: Wiley).
I should develop myself from the rest of the world but my primary intention is to do research and develop strategies against health-related problems of the world, especially immunology. I am fortunate that during my Ph.D. period my supervisor Dr. Pal assigned me to do two work- Searching the appropriate adjuvant (for the vaccine) with specific challenges against the infection of Leishmania donovani: carbohydrate-complex from mushrooms and drug development against Leishmania donovani (drug-resistant strain). My teaching and research interests are related to Immunology, Infectious Diseases, and cellular & molecular biology in life science.
I can teach and take practical classes independently and also independently on scientific research investigations. I have excellent communication, writing, and data interpretation skills.
